My name is Lloyd Chapin. I'm
a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast from Oklahoma that happened to get excited
about skydiving and flying airplanes along the way. I have over 2,000 skydives and over 4,000 hours flying airplanes. I am the founder and builder of Skydive Airtight in Skiatook, OK.
But "MOTORCYCLES" are my first love and still is. I am 73 years old and have
been riding motorized bikes, scooters, and sickles for 63 years. My first
ride at ten years old was a 1947 Doodle Bug and the first real motorsickle was a 1958 Harley Hummer in the early 1960's. I am a proud charter member of
Airtight MC for
34 years and I am currently writing a bio of the club
and it's evolving (or morphing) since 1985. I am a Lifetime member of ABATE of Oklahoma since 1980 (back when ABATE was an acronym for A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments)
and am responsible for their corporation status, bylaws, and constitution when I was vice-president of the organization. I am a Lifetime
charter member of H.O.G. (#9506) since 1982. My current
bike is a 2008 Harley-Davidson FLHX 96" Streetglide 'Black Betty'. I also am the proud owner of 'Dad's Rat'. A 1976 Harley Superglide that belonged to ATMC founder David Marshall (RIP my Brother). I’ve got to admit that image has something to do with my pride of
Harley-Davidson ownership. I like how my bikes look, and I like what they
say about me. I've been to all the lower
48 continental states, D.C., Key West, and Canada on
my Harleys and only have 16 states left for having done it all again a second time.
Let's RIDE !!!
